Happy Birthday, Hannah Babe!!

She's 3!!

I can not believe our 'baby' is 3!  We have moved beyond the years of newborns and toddlers and are now in the world of two school-aged children.  We are getting old...

We both took the day off the celebrate with her.  We opened presents as soon as she woke up.  She got a ballet ensemble (complete with a pink tutu, pink tights and pink slippers) for their Sleeping Beauty dance camp this summer.  She got Bambi on DVD, Bambi figures and some summer dresses. Her favorite article of clothing these days.  Plus, she got a Polly Pocket from Alyssa.  After that, she had a well-check; then we went to lunch and the Disney store where she got to pick out a few more things with a gift card.  It was a pretty successful day!

At 3, Hannah is in the 50% for weight and 70% for height.  She is as healthy as can be!  Her favorite foods are tomatoes, red bell peppers and strawberries.  She also like Blueberries and anything with sugar.  She is a self-professed vegetarian...she won't eat anything that looks or smells like meat, except turkey bacon and mini turkey pepperonis.  But, she does manage to get her protein from peanut butter, milk and yogurt.  Hopefully this is just a phase...the rest of us love meat!

She knows her entire alphabet, shapes, colors and can count to about 15 on her own.  She has recently taken a huge interest in writing and carries around a little notebook and pink highlighter she writes in...nothing that really looks like letters yet, but she is getting there and she definitely thinks it says something.  Her favorites shows are 'Max & Ruby' and 'Bubble Guppies'. And, of course, she loves anything Princess!!

Hannah is such a beautiful, free spirit and we are so thankful for her!  Even though she can be demanding, has a serious temper and an scowl that could curdle milk, her giggle is contagious and her smile can light up a room.  She is passionate and strong-willed...which may be difficult now, but we will be thankful when she is an adult.  Above all, she know how to be sweet.  A bad day can be turned around by snuggling and getting kisses from her.  I can not imagine what our family would be like with out her...

Next Saturday is going to be her 'Tangled' party so we will have lots of fun pictures to share!  I am attempting to do a really cool cupcakes and Rapunzel's tower (also, made out of cupcakes)...wish me luck!  She is so excited!
