I finally bit the bullet and made the girls a dentist appointment. I have been putting it off because I thought it would be such a nightmare, but Dr. Heiny's son is a dentist and recommended we take the girls to see him. Thankfully, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought.
Alyssa was so incredibly great!! She actually liked it all and said, "That was fun!" when it was over. Seriously? Who says that...about the DENTIST?!?!?!

The hygienist was really great and gave Aly some gloves and mask and some real dental tools she could take home to use on her dolls and stuffed animals.
Hannah did great too...at first. She was so good while the hygienist scrapped and counted her teeth. Even while she used the spin brush she was fine. It was the water rinse that freaked her out. I couldn't get her to calm down after that so she only got her bottom teeth done this time. The hygienist said she was still a little young and didn't want to push it and create a fear in her, so we will try again later.
Unfortunately, they both had a cavity on the same exact tooth. The dentist recommended cutting back on the sugar and brushing their teeth after breakfast instead of before. Aly did great for the filling also. Thankfully it wasn't a deep one so they didn't even need to numb her. Hopefully that will be the last one she ever has to have filled!! He told Hannah it was ok to wait on hers right now as long as she brushed really good to get all the 'sugar bugs' out. At least they are baby teeth...
Hannah had no problem having her sister clean her teeth though. I think we may have found Alyssa's future career path ;)
