Fall Leaves

Fall is the best.  We have never had leaves to rake before since we have always lived in new builds.  Not the case anymore...we have more leaves than what we know to do with in our new house. The girls are loving it. Look at the pure joy on their faces...
Just add this to the list of 17,283 reasons I love this season.

Pumpkin Fest

One of the great things about living in a new town is that we get explore all the local events and festivals for the first time.  We have been looking forward to the Huron Pumpkin Festival since we moved here in August.  Because, as you know, we love fall and we love festivals.

Some YL staff friends from Cleveland came to join us and we all had brunch together at our house before we headed to the boat basin for the activities.   The girls had a blast, but being that we live in small town America now, it didn't take long to see everything there was to see.  With the extra time, we decided to introduce our friends to the frozen deliciousness that is 'Pied Piper'.  Even on a chilly Fall afternoon it brings happiness.
Playing a GIANT game of Ker Plunk.

The 'Island Jungle Petting Zoo'...which feature exactly zero animals from the jungle or an island.  There were some crazy goats though who absolutely loved carrots.  Makes me miss Lily.
We have never seen a Kangaroo at a petting zoo before.  I guess there is a first time for everything.  And I guess, technically, Kangaroos come from an island...
Painting faces with pumpkins and painting pumpkins with faces.

After our friends left, we drove to Medina for the annual chicken barbecue.  It was nice to see some family we haven't seen in a while and the colors of Fall were just beginning to make an appearance.

Fun times on the farm.

Crucial Catch: Mini Cheer Night

The Huron HS cheerleaders put on a clinic for the home game tonight again Margaretta.  All the girls got to cheer and raise money for breast cancer research.  The even did hair and make up before the game.  Hannah didn't want to participate, but Alyssa was in Heaven.  Obviously, her love for cheering was not left in Columbus.

Her hair was adorable.  She felt so cool having a high school cheerleader doing it for her!
A little pre-game photo opp.
Hannah was so super cute watching Alyssa and her friends cheer.  She was so proud of her big sister!
She is a natural.  Cheering is in her blood.
They cheered the Tigers on to a major victory over the Polar Bear!
