For teachers, New Years Eve is really in August. Since your life revolves around the school calendar, the first day of school really is the beginning of a new year. The beginning of this year was a great one. With Hannah starting Kindergarten (Mrs. Bourgeois), Alyssa in 2nd grade (Miss Crackle) and Me back at South, Dan is really the only one to not have a major change this year.
Although the start of the school year always kicks of the busiest season of our lives, this year should be a great one. After everything that went down in the Spring, we know we are exactly where we are supposed to be right now. The Lord closed every door and there is a strange peace that comes with that. We are excited to just 'be' for this season...however long it may be.
